Beauty | Lavender hair

Hi Rangers,

I have had a ton of great comments about my hair, so here comes the long awaited tutorial on how to get awesome pastel lavender hair.

First up, I have to say, to get the color that I have, you really need to be super duper blonde. I would never recommend doing that on your own, so if you want this and your hair is dark, I would go to a salon and get your hair lightened. I have seen so many people trying to pull off doing the blonde-part at home, and it often turns out a disaster with burned, dead and destroyed hair.

Anyways, If you are already blonde, you need these things and you are good to go:

  • Manic Panic (Purple Haze hair colour)

  • A white cream conditioner

  • Plastic bowl or container

  • Hair color brush

Your hair should either be almost dry or completely dry, the colour-mix will run or drip if your hair is too wet. The colour I have in the end picture, my hair was completely dry when doing this. It all kind of depends on what colour you want and how much hair you have. Because if you have a lot of of hair you obviously have to make more dye-mix, than I do. If you want your hair to be darker or lighter lavender you will add more or less colour to your mix.

Okay, here goes:
  1. Put a good amount of conditioner in a plastic (not metal) container or bowl and then add a tiny bit (less than a teaspoon) of Manic Panic Purple Haze (It Is always better to add to little than it is to add too much. Go slow!) and then mix well. The colour you mix will almost be the colour your blonde hair will be, maybe a little bit lighter.
  2. When it is all mixed up, you add the mix to your roots and work your way out. If you are naturally blonde it is good to start in the back of your head since the front often gets more sunlight and is naturally lighter. When your hair is all covered in a purple lavender haze, I find that it sticks better if I massage it in a bit before leaving it alone. Some people wrap it in plastic, but I don't find it necessary, maybe due to my pixie haircut.
  3. Leave it alone for about one hour (or longer). I left it in for 40 minutes or so, but because this hair dye is super hair friendly, you could even sleep with it in and nothing bad should happen. HURRAY FOR VEGAN HAIR DYE!
  4. When time is up, rinse your hair in cold water. You do not need to wash with shampoo (or conditioner).
When it is all out, dry it and admire your work :)
That is it for this DIY tutorial on Lavender purple pastel hair #PurpleHairDontCare and I hope you enjoyed it. If you have any questions, feel free to write in the comments below or even DM me on Instagram and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
xoxo Charlie
